ProfileReplacer

From fmepedia

Created by Dmitri Bagh

This transformer replaces feature geometry with a profile. It places each segment along x axis and turns z coordinates into y.

The profile starts at x=0, and the full length of the profile is equal to the full length of the source line.

To exaggerate the vertical scale use Y multiplier parameter.

Precision parameter is used to eliminate possible gaps between segments, which sometimes occur due to converting float coordinates to string. This parameter should not be touched unless there are unwanted gaps in the profile.

This example was taken in Belcarra Regional Park near Port Moody, BC.
