Notice
For reasons of reliability and security, the method of generating Registration Keys for Linux versions of FME has been changed for FME2009.
This means that as of build 5574 of FME2009, any machine running a Linux version of FME with a fixed license will require a new license. This will not affect floating licenses, or any Windows or other Unix platform.
Q+A
Q) Who does this affect?
A) Anyone running FME on Linux (both 32-bit and 64-bit) and using a fixed (CRC) license.
Q) How am I affected?
A) When you upgrade FME from build 5573 or earlier to build 5574 or later, your machine key will change causing your current license to be regarded as invalid.
Q) What do I need to do?
A) A new fixed (CRC) license with the new machine code will need to be generated. Customers who upgrade will need to contact codes@safe.com (mailto:codes@safe.com) to get a new license.
