Q) Will FME still work correctly when I have Smallworld Add-Ons installed?
A) Probably. This is the info we have at this time...
| Add-On | Full Name | AKA | Comments |
|---|---|---|---|
| PNI | Physical Network Inventory | modelIT | A communications product and data model. Tested with FME and thought to be compatible. |
| LNI | Logical Network Inventory | circIT | A communications product and data model. Tested with FME and thought to be compatible. |
| SI | Spatial Intelligence | A VB client with Magik server. Thought to be compatible with both FME and FME SOM. | |
| SIAS | Smallworld Internet Application Server | Internet Mapping. Yes. It's even possible to integrate SIAS with FME Server. | |
| DM | Design Manager | DM overrides a lot of Smallworld core functionality, so it could cause problems for FME, and particularly the FME SOM. | |
| NRM | Frequently used with DM, therefore could cause similar problems. Uses triggers, multiple geometries and mapped geometries. | ||
| Cornerstone | A US utilities data model. FME status unknown. |
Q) Where do I get technical support for FME and the Smallworld FME Interface?
A) FME is supported by Safe Software. Contact us via our support contact form (http://www.safe.com/support/contact/form.php).
The Smallworld-FME Interface and Magik code is written and supported by GE/Smallworld. You should contact them for issues on this aspect of the software.
