DotDensityReplacer

Created by: Dmitri Bagh

This transformer replaces area features with a set of randomly placed dots with respective areas. The number of dots is defined by an attribute value.

The number of dots should be reasonable - expressing population of the world with an individual dot per person is an example of unreasonable parameter.

Generally speaking, a few dozens to a few hundred dots per feature should produce good results in reasonable time. Bigger values will cause significant slowdowns.

Note that generated dots do not represent any real location, and hence, this transformer is not suitable where location is important or randomly placed features can be misleading. That means this method should be used with caution.

The attached example takes the map of the world with population as an attribute. Population then expressed in millions in _result attribute, and this new attribute is used as a parameter for the transformer.
