Custom Transformers
FME Workbench allows you to replace a sequence of existing transformers with a single "custom" transformer. Custom transformers execute the same data flow as the original transformers, and can be edited just like any other transformer. Custom transformers can also be exported to share with other users.

These Examples
These examples carry out a whole range of different tasks, or improve in some way an existing FME function.
All of these require the use of FME2006 (preferably 2006-GB) or newer.
Installation
Follow these instructions to install a custom transformer...
- Download the file and unzip the content to a folder.
- Double-click the .fmx file to add the transformer to <my documents>\FME\Transformers and install it into FME Workbench.
- Start Workbench. If Workbench is already open you will need to refresh the transformer gallery to make the new transformer visible.
Alternatively...
- Copy the transformer (.fmx) file into any other folder you have specified as a shared resource location. Use tools->options from the Workbench menubar to manage a shared resources folder list.
- Refresh the transformer gallery to make the transformer visible.
