A) Of course: use the FME Universal Viewer; that's what it's there for.

Alternatively, if you have design files that you would like to view in their 'native' environment, you can download a viewer from the Bentley web site.

To find this product go to the Bentley web site (http://www.bentley.com) and type 'Bentley View' into the search field. This product also lets you look at AutoCAD *.dwg files.

This is one good way of checking whether a file that FME has problems with is actually a properly formed MicroStation file or not.
