AttributeCopier

From Fmepedia

AttributeCopier is a Workbench Transformer. The AttributeCopier lets you copy an attribute. The existing attribute remains and a new one with a different name but the same value is created.

New for FME 2007

In FME 2007, an AttributeCopier can be used to replace existing attribute connectors by right-clicking on the feature connector, and selecting "Replace with AttributeCopier".

Right-click a link and choose Replace with AttributeCopier...

Get more information from this movie demonstration of the functionality.

Q) When you hover over the AttributeCopier transformer you can see the attribute being copied and what it is being copied to, but when you open up the transformer properties, the information isn't there. This is happening in v2005.

A) The issue arises from opening an older workspace (say FME2003 or older) in FME 2005 or 2006. For the meantime you could simply replace the transformer - but for FME 2006GB we'll have a fix to make sure the older versions work just fine.
